This vintage white enamel bread bin with its bold stencilled BREAD lettering and classic black trim is a wonderful piece of mid-century utilitarian design. Measuring approximately 30cm tall x 30cm in diameter, it was made in Poland for the British market, most likely in the 1960s–1970s, and distributed under the LSA label — an early line of imported enamel kitchenware known for its durability and clean, practical style.

Still attached to one side is the original paper label, now time-worn but still legible enough to read the delightful wording: “Ideal for boiling a Christmas ham.” This detail offers a charming glimpse into the pot’s original purpose — these enamel containers were often dual-use, marketed for cooking large festive hams or puddings, as well as for general kitchen storage. Their robust enamel coating made them suitable for use on traditional stoves or as versatile all-purpose kitchenware.

Condition
Good vintage condition with age-related wear and enamel chipping around the rim and handles (shown in photos). Lid fits securely. Interior is clean and usable. Retains part of the original label, which adds authenticity and collector appeal.
