This delightful tin dates from the 1940s–1950s and features a romantic Victorian-style garden scene on the lid, depicting a lady in a pink crinoline dress walking through a flower-filled path toward a stone archway. The word “Workbox” appears in script on the lid, reflecting its clever design for reuse as a sewing or trinket box once the sweets were finished.

The tin has gold-patterned sides, a metal clasp closure, and a hinged lid. Inside, the original silvered finish remains with light patina and embossed floral decoration to the inner lid — a lovely touch of mid-century craftsmanship.
