Vintage Chinese stone hand carved stamp in original velvet lined box

Vintage Chinese stone hand carved stamp or seal in original velvet lined box. This wonderful little item is still in its original box. It has been used and has traces of ink on both ends. More research may find out what the carving is and the name in the bottom of stamp.

Size: box is 9 cm wide 4 cm tall 5 cm width.

Some age related wear. Box has a lovely catch. Item is probably made from bone.

The earliest known seals date from the Shang Dynasty (商朝 - shāng cháo), which ruled from 1600 BC to 1046 BC. Chops became widely used during the Warring States period (战国时代 - Zhàn guó Shí dài) from 475 BC to 221 BC when they were used for signing official documents.
