Antique Edwardian Fruit Lithograph Tin Box – Vintage Tea Caddy Storage – Rustic Kitchenalia c.1900

.

Description

Bring a touch of Edwardian charm to your home with this beautifully timeworn antique fruit-decorated tin, dating from around 1900–1915.

.

Originally made as a pantry or tea storage box, this rectangular tin features softly faded lithographed still-life scenes of apples, pears, grapes and citrus fruits on each side. The warm, mellow patina developed over more than a century gives the piece a wonderfully authentic rustic farmhouse character that modern reproductions simply cannot replicate.

.

The tin has a gently domed lid with rolled edges, a front keyhole clasp (key no longer present), and stands on four small raised feet — a practical design that would have helped protect valuable contents such as tea or biscuits from damp kitchen surfaces.

.

Inside, the metal interior remains plain and functional, showing honest age-related wear consistent with its long working life in a busy household.

.

Today, this piece makes a charming addition to:

Farmhouse or country-style kitchens

Vintage pantry displays

Tea or biscuit storage

Prop styling or photography
