Antique Wall-Mounted Glazed Display Cabinet — Early 20th Century
This charming antique wall cabinet is a wonderful piece of functional history, perfect for adding warmth and soul to any period or vintage-styled interior. Dating from the early 20th century, the cabinet is hand-crafted from solid wood with a deep, rich patina that only time can create.
.
The single glazed door features its original wavy glass panel, allowing contents to be displayed beautifully. Inside are two fitted shelves, making it ideal for storing apothecary bottles, small ceramics, curios, spices, shaving items, or treasured keepsakes. The cabinet retains its original brass knob and simple metal latch, adding to its authentic, unfussy charm.
.
The form is classic and honest, with a stepped cornice top, visible old fixings and age-related marks that tell the story of its long life. This is not a reproduction — it is genuinely old, worn in all the right places, and full of rustic character. Two brass hanging plates have been added at some stage to allow for secure wall mounting.
.
Currently shown standing on a radiator in the photographs, the cabinet is intended for wall display.
.
Condition
This is an antique item with age-related wear, minor marks, and surface scratches consistent with years of use. The patina is beautiful and untouched. The glass is intact. Structurally sound and ready to hang.
