This is a unique opportunity to own this rare vintage wooden jewellery box. Truly one of a kind, this black lacquered wooden box has a handmade picture on the top depicting old Victorian London and the infamous Big Ben. Please note picture looks like it is torn it isn't just a minor crease thanks 
Unlock the box with the fully working key and mechanism (rare in itself) to find a beautiful interior adorned with opulent green silk and velvet. The centre panel is indicative of being used to hold a ladies pocket watch. This helps with dating the item. It could go back to Victorian times, but equally could date to mid 20th century, post war, when pocket watches declined in popularity.
There is wear and tear, commensurate with age. Note the base has some light damage where the material has faded in the sun. One or two corners of the box have taken a knock but, we feel this adds to its appeal, knowing its been used and loved.
