Mid-Century Alabaster Clown with Concertina 25 cm Ivory Tone Figurine
Mid-Century Alabaster Clown with Concertina, 25 cm — Ivory-Tone Figurine
-
A charming mid-century piece, which our research suggests is possibly an alabaster figurine of a seated clown playing a concertina. Beautifully modelled with lively expression, floppy hat, oversized shoes and a generous bow tie, all left unpainted to showcase the soft, ivory-tone alabaster. Pieces in this style were popular European exports in the 1960s–80s and remain delightful additions to circus and music-themed collections.

Why we love it
The combination of crisp drapery, expressive face and tactile bellows gives this piece great shelf presence. Neutral tones suit both vintage and contemporary interiors.
-
Care
Dust with a soft, dry brush or microfibre cloth. Avoid water, sprays and cleaners—alabaster is porous and can stain.
