Provenance & Care
-
This hand-fired enamel-on-copper dish by Launous was made in France during the mid-20th century, when artisan enamel studios flourished across Europe. Each piece was individually kiln-fired at high temperatures, fusing coloured glass powders to copper to create a permanent, lustrous surface. No two designs are ever identical, making each dish a small work of art.

To preserve its beauty, avoid soaking or abrasive cleaning. Simply dust gently or wipe with a soft, dry cloth. As with all enamelware, it is decorative rather than food-safe. Display away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature changes to maintain its vivid mid-century colour.
