Step back in time with this finely detailed Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Y29 die-cast model, a replica of the 1919 Walker Electric Van proudly carrying the Harrods Ltd livery.

Originally manufactured in Chicago by the Walker Vehicle Company, these electric vans were introduced in London during the early 1920s. Harrods Knightsbridge operated a fleet of sixty of them, painted in the distinctive green and cream colours seen here. They became a familiar sight delivering goods across the capital, with a range of 50–60 miles per charge and a top speed of 12 mph – a true innovation in early electric transport.
