A charming small Art Nouveau brass box dating to around 1900, decorated with a beautifully embossed floral panel in the Vienna Secession / Jugendstil style.

The lid features a symmetrical botanical design with fan-shaped flowers resembling stylised ginkgo leaves, framed within a geometric border. The background has a finely punched texture which helps the polished motifs catch the light — a clever decorative technique used in early 20th-century pressed metalwork to imitate hand-worked repoussé.
Subtle colour tones in the design appear to be created through chemical patination applied to the brass, giving the piece warm copper and blue highlights that enhance the floral pattern.
