This wonderful antique toleware hat box, dating to the late Victorian or early 20th century, is a striking and practical piece of historic storage. Made from painted tinplate, the box features a traditional cylindrical form with reinforced vertical seams and decorative horizontal bands, typical of utilitarian metalware produced during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The box has a hinged lid with a simple metal handle and a front clasp plate, where a fastening or small lock may once have been attached. Good antique condition with age-related wear, surface marks, and patina consistent with its age. The interior shows oxidation and historic use but remains structurally sound.some corrosion round base edges reflected in price hardly noticeable does not detect from the item over 100 years old!
