Antique early 20th century oak architect ruler or builders carpenter measure - stunning!! I believe by the look, feel and quality of this item (unfortunately and surprisingly makers name) this is an antique ruler, possibly late Victorian, certainly early 20th century.

Some age related wear but wonderful patina which would have taken years to achieve. Would make a great display piece in an office etc ( stool not included illustration only)

Made from a rich, dark wood with metal fittings and a beautifully worn surface, this adjustable arm tool was most likely used by a carpenter or joiner for marking and measuring angled cuts.
