A richly coloured deep amber glass whisky bottle embossed “SCOTCH” above a shield with a “V”, and the words “Premium Quality” and “Jackson Whisky – Leith & Edinburgh.” The warm ruby-amber tone and strong moulded lettering give this piece real shelf presence and unmistakable Victorian–Edwardian character.

Maker History
 
Jackson Whisky operated as a Scotch whisky merchant and blender based in Leith, the historic port district of Edinburgh. During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Leith was a major centre for whisky storage, blending, and export. Independent merchants such as Jackson purchased casks from Highland and Lowland distilleries, matured and blended them locally, then sold the whisky under their own branded labels.
 
Embossed bottles like this served both practical and marketing purposes:
