Cullingfords is a soap maker that produced a bear-shaped soap in 1949 to celebrate the birth of Brumas the polar bear at London Zoo. The soap is part of the Zoological Society of London's (ZSL) archive and will be featured in an exhibition at London Zoo in 2026.
The ZSL's archive also includes other rare items, such as a first edition of On the Origin of Species by Charles Darwin and a decorated ostrich egg from the opening of Whipsnade Zoo in 1931.
