A wonderfully quirky little piece of British advertising history, this vintage Colman’s mustard pot has all the charm of an old café table, pantry shelf or traditional kitchen dresser.

Small in size but full of character, the pot is made in a beautiful cornflower blue milk-glass / opaline-style glass, with a glossy finish and a pleasing moulded shape. The lower half has a fluted, ribbed design, while the upper body carries the classic COLMAN’S name in pale lettering, framed by small blue starburst motifs. It is a tiny object, but a very eye-catching one.

Colman’s is one of Britain’s best-known food brands, strongly associated with Norwich and with mustard since the early 19th century.
