Vintage Seated Lead Figure Circa 1930s–1950s Painted Diecast Civilian or Soldier

SKU ODS1095
Цена

8,00 GBP

Add a touch of early 20th-century charm to your collection with this wonderfully characterful vintage seated figure, crafted in painted lead or diecast metal. Dating from around the 1930s to 1950s, this miniature is likely the work of a renowned British maker such as Britains Ltd or Johillco—pioneers of detailed toy soldiers and railway figures.

-

Depicting a seated civilian or possibly a soldier in a rounded helmet-style hat, the figure features delicately hand-painted facial features and a muted outfit in keeping with mid-century design. Though some age-related paint loss is visible—particularly to the legs and arms—it remains a lovely and authentic example of pre-war and wartime toy production.

-

Measuring just a few centimetres tall, its seated posture suggests it was designed for placement in a model vehicle, train carriage, or street scene. The base shows moulded ridges, helping the figure stay securely in position—a common trait in vintage model accessories of the period.

-

Whether you’re a collector of early toy soldiers, railway miniatures, or simply enjoy the nostalgic feel of traditional toys, this piece is a charming survivor of a bygone era.

-

Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related paint wear. No visible maker’s mark.

Dimensions: Approx. 3–4cm tall
