A charming miniature watercolour-style château scene, beautifully presented in a dramatic black and gilt frame with a deep cream mount. The tiny central image depicts a romantic Continental castle or manor house, with towers, turrets, wooded grounds and small figures on horseback in the foreground.

The scene has a wonderfully atmospheric European feel, possibly French or Central European in inspiration, though no title or location is visible.
