The Esso Blue paraffin can was a popular brand of kerosene for domestic heaters and lamps in the UK from the 1950s to the 1970s. Its history includes iconic advertising, such as the "Bom, Bom, Bom, Bom, Esso Blue!" jingle and a version of the song "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes". The cans themselves are now collectible items, often associated with a bygone era before central heating was common.
