A charming part set of vintage hand-painted lead figures made by John Hill & Co. (Johillco) in England, dating from around 1938 to 1948. These delightful miniatures depict Snow White and three of her famous dwarfs — Dopey, Doc, and Happy — inspired by Walt Disney’s 1937 film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Each figure was individually cast in lead alloy and finished by hand with bright enamel paint, showcasing the skill and artistry of Johillco’s mid-20th-century craftsmanship. Their bold primary colours, expressive faces, and solid sculpting are hallmarks of Johillco’s style, which rivalled Britains and Pixyland-Kew for quality in pre-war and post-war Britain.

Snow White – in her classic blue bodice and yellow skirt, one arm raised in greeting (approx. 5 cm tall).
Dopey – the endearing beardless dwarf with large ears, wearing a long green coat and red hat.
Doc – with a thoughtful expression, white beard, dark coat, and green hat.
Happy – jovial and round-faced, in a red coat and green trousers, hands resting on his belly.

Each figure shows age-related paint wear consistent with its 80+ years of age, adding to their vintage character. Together, they make a lovely display group for collectors of Disneyana, lead toys, or 1930s–40s British figures.
