This is a beautiful antique print of a water Lobelia which has been professionally framed in a lovely decorative floral frame. 
The delicate line work and hand-colouring suggest it could be an antique print, possibly from the mid-19th century as  suggested by the date on the back. Many botanical prints from that era were created for scientific publications or as decorative art.
If it dates to 1857, it might have originated from a botanical textbook, field guide, or journal of that time. The details on the roots, leaves, and flower anatomy point to a scientific purpose. Such illustrations were often engraved and hand-coloured by artists skilled in naturalistic detail.
