Bring the warmth of Tuscany into your home with this complete set of four hand-painted majolica tiles by the Italian artist Parrini, each one celebrating a different season of the year. Known as “Quattro Stagioni” (Four Seasons), these richly coloured ceramic plaques were produced in Siena and sold through the artisan shop Antica Siena in Piazza del Campo.

Each tile features a bold cobalt-blue background and vibrant fruit motifs representing the natural abundance of each season:
Primavera (Spring): strawberries, cherries, apricots
Estate (Summer): watermelon, figs, peaches
Autunno (Autumn): grapes and pomegranates
Inverno (Winter): oranges and pears

The hand-painted decoration is full of rustic charm, drawing on the Renaissance tradition of Tuscan maiolica while retaining a lively folk-art quality unique to Parrini’s workshop. All four tiles are signed Parrini to the front, and one still bears its original Antica Siena label to the reverse. Each tile has a pair of holes at the back, designed for easy wall display.

Dating from the late 20th century (c. 1970s–1990s), these decorative tiles were made not for floors but as colourful wall plaques, perfect for a kitchen, garden room, or to add a touch of Italian sunshine to any interior.
