MacFarlane, Lang & Co. was a Scottish biscuit manufacturer founded in 1817 as a bakery by James Lang. His nephew, John Macfarlane, joined the business and it was renamed MacFarlane Lang in 1841. The company opened its first machine-operated biscuit factory, the Victoria Biscuit Works, in 1886, later opening the Imperial Biscuit Works in Fulham, London in 1903. In 1948, MacFarlane Lang & Co. merged with McVitie & Price to form United Biscuits Ltd, a major biscuit producer.

1817: James Lang opens Langs bakery in Glasgow.
1841: The business becomes MacFarlane Lang, after John Macfarlane joins.
1886: The first biscuit factory, the Victoria Biscuit Works, opens, and the firm changes its name to MacFarlane, Lang & Co.
1903: The Imperial Biscuit Works opens in Fulham, London.
1904: The company is incorporated as MacFarlane Lang & Co Ltd.
1948: MacFarlane Lang & Co. merges with McVitie and Price to form United Biscuits Ltd.
