A charming vintage flour tin with a soft yellow daffodil design and pale green domed lid, perfect for adding a touch of nostalgic country-kitchen style to a shelf, dresser or pantry display.

This decorative metal kitchen canister is labelled “FLOUR” to the front and features a pretty floral transfer-style design of yellow daffodils with green foliage. The soft cream body and green lid give it a wonderfully gentle mid-century look, making it ideal for collectors of vintage kitchenalia, floral tins, retro pantry storage and cottagecore home décor.

Dating most likely from the mid-20th century, probably around the 1940s–1950s, this type of tin would originally have formed part of a kitchen canister set, commonly including flour, sugar, tea and coffee tins. Similar floral canisters are sometimes associated with makers such as NC Colorware, though this example is unmarked, so we are describing it more cautiously as an attractive vintage floral flour tin in that style.

The tin displays beautifully and has plenty of authentic vintage charm. It has age-related wear, including scuffs, scratches, paint loss around the lid and rim, surface marks, rubbing and general signs of use. The interior also shows wear consistent with its age and original purpose. This does not detract from its decorative appeal and adds to its lovely timeworn pantry character.
