Vintage pair ( facing each other shows they are a pair) brass Italian candle sticks this very decorative pair of candle sticks are marked Italy on base amazing patina ( could be cleaned personally I love the look would have taken years to get)the top and base unscrew some age related wear ( under the base in one has a very small foot end missing hardly noticeable see pictures reflected in the price

Later candlesticks benefitted from centuries of ingenious improvements that occurred during the 17th century. Both the stem and the base of candlesticks used to be made of solid brass. It is common for examples of that era to have a hole in the socket to remove the candle stump which would frequently get stuck.
