This is a commemorative tin featuring a portrait of King George VI. The tin was created to celebrate his coronation on May 12, 1937.

These tins were made by various companies, including Rowntree and E.I. & Co. LTD.
The tins often feature portraits of George VI and Queen Elizabeth (the Queen Mother), and sometimes Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret.
Many of these tins were originally used for biscuits or sweets.
They are considered collectible items and can be found on auction sites etc rare !!
