A Slice of British Beverage History
Corona Soft Drinks began life in Wales in 1897, when William Evans founded the Welsh Hills Mineral Water Company in Porth. By the 1920s, the name “Corona” had become synonymous with fizzy drinks across the UK. Known for their iconic glass bottles, bright flavours, and home delivery service using wooden crates and local “pop man” vans, Corona became a fixture in post-war British households.

From dandelion and burdock to cherryade and orangeade, the brand embodied the flavour of British summers. In 1958, Corona was acquired by Beecham’s (later part of Britvic), and production eventually ceased in the late 1990s. Today, these bottles serve as lasting keepsakes of 20th-century British popular culture.
