A wonderfully decorative vintage table lamp stand in the classical Corinthian column style, full of architectural detail and old-world charm.

This elegant lamp has a tall reeded central column in a warm brass-gold tone, rising from an ornate square base with acanthus-style leaf decoration, stepped plinth detail and small decorative feet. The upper section features a classical capital with curled scrollwork and foliate moulding, giving the whole piece a distinctly neoclassical, country house feel.

Likely dating from the early-to-mid 20th century, this is a lovely example of vintage decorative lighting inspired by antique architectural forms.

The mix of aged gilt metal, brass-toned column and naturally worn patina gives it a pleasingly timeworn look — not overly polished, but characterful and atmospheric.

The lamp is shown working in the photographs with a large exposed decorative bulb, though it would also look beautiful paired with a small pleated, parchment, black or warm neutral shade. Perfect for a side table, desk, hallway console, reading corner or layered vintage interior.
