Decorated in rich red tones with striped detailing and the distinctive Macfarlane Lang branding, the tin also features advertising on the interior for “Granola Digestive Biscuits – The Finest of all Digestive Biscuits.” These tins were designed not only to hold biscuits but to be reused in the home, making them both practical and highly decorative.

Macfarlane Lang was one of Britain’s leading biscuit manufacturers, with major factories in Glasgow and London, later becoming part of the United Biscuits group in the mid-20th century.
