I have priced this stunning piece accordingly (with rubbing to hallmarks, small chips to stopper, etc.), and it is still a wonderful item! It is at least 100 years old!?

A beautiful Edwardian sterling silver and cut glass perfume or scent bottle, dating from the early 20th century.

The substantial clear glass body is particularly attractive, with deeply cut geometric decoration around the rounded base and a diamond-cut section to the neck. Above this sits a tall sterling silver sleeve, giving the bottle an elegant, elongated profile.

It retains its large original-style faceted glass stopper, ground to fit the bottle and finished with a beautifully cut, jewel-like top which catches the light wonderfully.

The silver shows the expected surface marks, tarnishing and small areas of pitting acquired during more than a century of use, while the glass has the minor age-related wear one would expect from an antique dressing-table piece. There is some wear and roughness to the lower end of the ground stopper, clearly photographed.

A wonderfully decorative survivor from the Edwardian dressing table and a lovely piece for a collection of antique scent bottles, silver-mounted glass or vanity accessories.

Condition: Good antique condition with age-related wear, particularly to the silver mount and stopper, as shown in the photographs.

Unfortunately I cannot identify the exact assay office, year and maker — Lion and possibly a year letter — but all are slightly rubbed, hence the price.
