Vintage Art Deco Arched Bevelled Glass dressing table Mirror freestanding

A lovely vintage mirror with a simple, elegant arched top and beautifully bevelled glass edges, (always a sign of quality) reflecting the understated glamour of the Art Deco period.

Believed to date from around the 1930s–1940s, this charming mirror features a classic frameless design, allowing the shaped glass and its decorative bevelled edges to take centre stage.

The mirror is mounted on a dark wooden backing, with small metal retaining clips securing the glass in place. These original-fittings add to its period character.( I believe the stand/ easel on back has been replaced does not detract from the beauty of the item)

The gently rounded top and clean, straight sides give the mirror a timeless appearance, making it equally at home in a traditional interior or a contemporary setting with a love of vintage pieces.

Perfect for a bedroom, hallway, dressing area or bathroom, this is a wonderfully versatile piece of vintage home décor.

Condition

In vintage condition, showing signs of age and previous use, including some surface scratches, minor marks to the glass and areas of wear to the reflective silvering, particularly around the edges. The metal retaining clips also show age-related patination.

These imperfections are consistent with an older mirror and contribute to its authentic vintage character.

Please study the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.

Why We Love It

We particularly love the elegant arched shape and wide bevelled edging. There is something wonderfully appealing about an old mirror, especially one that has retained its original character. A beautiful example of practical vintage design that deserves to be enjoyed for many more years.
