Vintage Italian ABC Bassano Blue & White Ceramic Jelly Mould – Floral Design

Vintage Italian ABC Bassano Blue & White Ceramic Jelly Mould – Floral Design

A charming vintage Italian ceramic jelly mould by Ceramiche ABC of Bassano, featuring a beautifully shaped floral design decorated in traditional cobalt blue and white.

The mould has an attractive domed, flower-like form, with raised petals radiating from the centre and hand-painted blue stripes following its contours. Around the lower section are stylised floral motifs, creating a lovely contrast against the glossy white glaze.

The interior has a matching moulded floral design, while a small hole near the rim allows the piece to be displayed on a kitchen wall.

A Little Maker History

Ceramiche ABC was a pottery producer associated with Bassano del Grappa in northern Italy, an area renowned for its long tradition of decorative ceramics.

The company produced colourful, often hand-decorated pottery, including ornamental jelly and pudding moulds that combined traditional kitchenware forms with decorative appeal.

This example bears the impressed ABC mark with three stylised trees, associated with the Bassano pottery. It is believed to date from the latter half of the 20th century.

Why We Love It

We love the bold blue-and-white decoration and the wonderfully sculptural flower-shaped design. It's a lovely piece of vintage kitchenalia that would look equally at home displayed on a rustic kitchen wall, arranged on open shelving or added to a collection of decorative ceramics.
