Vintage Meissner Limoges France Pink Porcelain Posy Vase Classical Relief Decor

Vintage Meissner Limoges France Pink Porcelain Posy Vase – Classical Relief Decoration

A charming vintage French porcelain posy vase by Meissner Limoges, featuring a delicate dusky pink finish, elegant classical decoration and touches of gold.

This pretty little vase has a beautifully proportioned shape, with rounded shoulders, a gently flared neck and a slender tapering body. The front is decorated with raised white porcelain figures depicting a classical scene, creating a lovely contrast against the soft pink background.

Gold detailing around the rim and base adds a little extra elegance.

A Little History

Limoges, France, has been celebrated for its fine porcelain since the late 18th century. This vase bears the Meissner Limoges France backstamp and is believed to date from the mid-to-late 20th century.

Its classical relief decoration reflects the enduring popularity of neoclassical designs in European decorative porcelain.

Why We Love It

We love the soft pink colour and delicate white relief decoration. It's a lovely example of vintage French decorative porcelain, small enough to display on a shelf, dressing table or windowsill.

Perfect for a few delicate flower stems, or simply enjoyed as a decorative piece in its own right.

Condition

Good vintage condition with no nibbles to the porcelain. There are some surface marks and minor signs of age and previous use, as shown in the photographs.
