Vintage Style La Cure Gourmande French Biscuit Tin – Biscuits Fourrés au Chocolat

A charming decorative French biscuit tin by La Cure Gourmande, beautifully designed in the brand’s nostalgic pâtisserie style. The lid features a wonderfully busy old-fashioned kitchen scene, complete with chef, assistants, copper pans, shelving, stove and even a little cat and child — a delightful piece of French-inspired kitchenalia with plenty of character.

The tin is decorated in rich warm tones of burgundy, gold, cream and soft blue, with ornate borders and period-style typography. The front reads “Biscuits Fourrés au Chocolat”, meaning chocolate-filled biscuits, while the sides feature further French wording including “La Cure Gourmande” and “Exigez la Marque”. Inside, the base carries an embossed decorative monogram associated with the brand.

La Cure Gourmande was founded in southern France in 1989 and became known for its traditional confectionery, biscuits and beautifully nostalgic packaging. Although this tin has the look and charm of an older French advertising tin, it is best described as a late 20th to early 21st century vintage-style decorative tin, rather than an antique piece.

A lovely display item for a country kitchen, French café-style shelf, baking corner, pantry, dresser or vintage tin collection. It would also make attractive storage for wrapped sweets, recipe cards, sewing notions, craft items or small keepsakes.

Condition:

In good decorative vintage condition with age-related surface wear, small scuffs, scratches and minor paint losses in places. The interior shows signs of previous use, including light marks, speckling and small areas of discolouration/rust spotting. The hinged lid opens and closes as it should.
